I just had my Wordpress install throw a weird error at me that said something along the lines of “WordPress database error: [Got error 127 from storage engine]”. A Google search pointed me to this post which told me I needed to repair my database. Ok, no problem. I login to my cpanel account, click the “MySQL Databases” icon and I get an option to repair the database.
Luckily, things went down without a hitch, but there been a problem, I would have had to revert to a previously saved database, which I do have since I’ve been managing backups of the database with this nifty Wordpress database backup plugin. It’s easy to install and you can schedule backups regularly. If you blog on Wordpress, this is a must have plugin. You never know when your database might corrupt on you.
