Jon Stewart interviews Neocon columnist Stephen F. Hayes about his new book, Cheney and offers some great political commentary. The clip is up at iFilm (which doesn’t allow embeds…)

The debate was surprisingly civil yet Jon made some fantastic points about how Cheney flip flopped on the idea of Iraq from his 1994 speech until now.

Stephen thinks things changed since 9/11 when Saddam Hussein became an “unacceptible threat”. Jon makes the point that Cheney knew the complications of going in after him - as he outlined in 1994 - yet the Administration failed to bring up any of these concerns in the lead up to the war.
