Study: People Prefer Genuine Smiles in Advertising

Cognitive Daily posts a study on how smiles affect advertising success. The study asked female volunteers to rate t-shirts modeled by women with either a genuine smile, a posed smile or a neutral face. They found significantly more viewers preferred the t-shirts when the model was genuinely smiling and there was no difference in responses to a posed or neutral face.
