Karl Fogel on The History of Copyright

08.14.07 | No Comments

Karl Fogel has an interesting talk on the history of copyright at Google Video. He mentions that contrary to popular belief, copyright wasn’t created to protect artists or to help them profit from their works. It was actually designed by the publishing industry to subsidize distribution not creation.

He also has a great copyright resource at www.questioncopyright.org.
