Selling 101 - Put Away that Sales Script!

08.13.07 | No Comments

I don’t know one person who likes “being sold” on something. Jeff Kempe has written a great article on how sales people would sell more stuff if they just focused their conversation on their prospects’ needs, wants and preferences rather than regurgitating the canned script they are taught in sales 101.

His main points are to sell the right product at the right price, know your product - and your competitors’ products - inside and out, and actually care about your customers rather than feigning a passing interest.

Everyone in business should take his advice to heart.
