It seems reptile smuggling might not be so uncommon. A man was recently stopped at Cairo’s airport for trying to smuggle live snakes (including a live cobra), baby crocodiles and chameleons into Saudi Arabia in his carry on bags. This, apparently, isn’t an isolated incident. In May, another Saudi man tried to smuggle 700 live snakes in his carry on luggage.
